R&B crooner T-Pain was crowned 'Songwriter of the Year’ at the BMI Urban Awards last night (September 5).

The Florida bred singer also shared the 'Producer of the Year’ award with Kanye West and Jonathan "J.R." Rotem.

Other BMI winners included Beyonce, Ne-Yo and Polow Da Don. During the show, The Jackson family was awarded with BMI's Icon Award.

T-Pain is currently gearing up to release his third solo album titled Thr33 Ringz. The album will be hitting shelves on October 30th and will feature appearances from Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Ludacris and Rick Ross, among others.
