The DeathRow Era is over, Snoop Dogg hasn't been able to produce an album that equals the greatness of DoggyStyle, Ice Cube is on more movie theatres and DVD's than CD's and Dr. Dre scrapped the most anticipated album in years.
Many West Coast artists including Snoop have claimed that lack of unity among West Coast artists and bias in the industry is the reason why West Coast rap doesn't get as much exposure as it used to.
No disrespect to them!
They have earned the right to be in any kind of spotlight but West Coast pioneers like Snoop, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, Ice-T and many more have put in their time.
The 30 plus crowd can't represent the West Coast style of music forever.
Things are about to change!
The West Coast has a gang of n
ew faces that are about to change the game...pay attention:

GUERILLA BLACK
Repping: Compton
If he got a 100 dollars for everytime that somebody says "Dude sounds just like Biggie! " , Guerilla Black wouldn't have to drop an album.
The resemblance to Notorious B.I.G. to him could be a gift and curse, just ask Sh
yne.
Losing some of his closest family members and watching his wife lose her life from meningitis almost made him not consider taking on the rap game.
Fortunately a session on his birthday at his brother's studio resurrected life back into his rap dreams.
That one session made word spread quickly to Virgin Records, Vice President of A&R Pete Farmer, who signed Black to a deal at Virgin Records. Since then bangers like "Guerilla Nasty", ft. Jazze Pha, "Compton" ft. Beenie Man and " Uh Oh" have set the stage and anticipation for Black's debut album.

This very under rated West Coast lyricist released a banger last year with the track "California" and he managed to get big names from the left coast to appear on his remix which grabbed the ear of cats at J Records. With a new deal, new single "That'z My Name" and hopefully good promotion...Sly will be making a lot of noise in the future.
